In late spring, the Tia stream area (Da Lat) puts on a lush green coat, bringing a natural beauty full of vitality.
Suoi Tia is the source of the water flowing into Tuyen Lam Lake, about 5 km from the center of Da Lat city. To create Tuyen Lam Lake as it is today, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province and Duc Trong district built a dam to retain water in the Suoi Tia area around 1985 - 1986. The stream has a poetic and picturesque landscape, but is not known to many people. Each season, the acacia forest takes on a different beauty. Photo: Manh Hung The slender acacia trees stretching towards the sky create a unique scene. The acacia trees will shed all their leaves, revealing bare ivory-white branches in autumn and winter. In early spring, the entire acacia forest puts on a new coat of lush green from the young shoots. Photo: Manh Hung Ngoc Bich, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City who had the opportunity to visit Suoi Tia in March this year, said: “From the city center, visitors move to the Clay Tunnel, go a few dozen meters further and you will see a white board with Thong Dong Village written on the right. Go up the concrete road, run to the end of the road, you will see a fork, there is a big rock, here there will be someone collecting tickets to Suoi Tia, the ticket price is 30,000 VND/person. After that, visitors will be given detailed directions to Suoi Tia, you can go by motorbike or on foot." Photo: Bich Ngoc In a day at Suoi Tia, visitors can fully experience the beauty of the four seasons at different times of the day. Early in the morning, the water surface is covered with a thin layer of mist typical of spring. At noon, the golden sunlight covers the space, making everything bright. In the afternoon, the scenery becomes quiet as if entering autumn. In the evening, winter seems to cover with a chilly atmosphere. Photo: Manh Hung The trail follows a small stream in the pine forest leading to the Tia stream, and without a local guide, it is easy to get lost. “The road to the Tia stream is not too difficult, there are only a few rocky sections, requiring a lot of strength and walking. A tourism project is being built in this flooded pine forest area, and if it is completed, it will be difficult to get in, so everyone should take the time to come here soon,” Bich Ngoc said. Photo: Bich Ngoc Suoi Tia is still pristine, with no developed tourism services. The air is cool, very suitable for camping, immersing yourself in nature. Young people who love sports can form groups to row SUP, kayak on the lake. Photo: Manh Hung The best time to visit and take photos of Suoi Tia is in late winter and early spring, when the humidity is high and there is little wind. On these days, the mist on the lake creates a hazy scene. Visitors should arrive before 6:30 a.m. to admire the scene when the first rays of sunlight appear, the rows of teak trees shine amidst the magical white mist. Note that the early morning temperature in Da Lat is quite cold, remember to bring a warm coat. Photo: Manh Hung Any corner of Tia stream can become a poetic photo backdrop. Visitors here do not litter, clean up before leaving and preserve the general landscape. Photo: Manh Hung
