Remember, in 2020, Thu Hoai shared about the marriage contract between her and her ex-husband. The beauty queen said that the marriage contract included consultation from friends, lawyers and the decision of each person.
Everything went smoothly and her ex-husband even suggested adding a clause: "Whoever leaves first will be fined up to 2 million USD." According to her, this huge fine could make anyone wary of breaking up.
However, she expressed her opinion: “But I just consider it a joke, and never let it appear in my life. Because these types of terms sound romantic and interesting, but in fact, they are the pit for us to jump into.
“When people are forced to live together just because they don’t want to lose money, it’s a terrible thing. The fine then is no longer what keeps happiness, but will be the source of the worst calculations,” she shared.

Thu Hoai affirmed that she did not want to set a trap for herself and did not want her partner to suffer because of being bound by money.

On the evening of July 17, Miss Thu Hoai announced that she had broken up with her husband Tong Nhat Tri for nearly a year. Thu Hoai did not make this information public because she was worried that people would see her as a woman who had failed in love and marriage.
The beauty announced the breakup to free herself. She hopes her husband can find other people as a free man, not involved in the old marriage.
Thu Hoai confided: "I think after leaving a relationship, everyone will start a new relationship and I don't want Tri to be embarrassed by the old story."
