Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau has signed and issued decisions stipulating the positions, functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the departments after the organizational restructuring.
Accordingly, the 5 newly established departments in Hai Duong have a total of 43 departments (including the office and department inspectorate) and 17 boards, branches, and affiliated public service units, reducing the total number of over 20 organizations compared to before the streamlining.
Among the 5 new departments after merging 10 departments, the Department of Science and Technology has the least number of departments (6 departments), the Department of Finance has the most number of departments (12 departments).
Regarding public service units, the Department of Construction has 3 units: Hai Duong Provincial Traffic Control and Supervision Center; Hai Duong Provincial Traffic Infrastructure Maintenance and Project Management Board; and Construction Quality Planning and Inspection Center.
The Department of Home Affairs has 3 units: Historical Archives Center; Hai Duong Provincial Nursing Center; Hai Duong Employment Service - Vocational Education Center.
The Department of Science and Technology has 3 units: Information Technology Center; Center for Measurement, Testing and Scientific Information; Center for Application of Science and Technology and Innovation.
The Department of Finance has a Financial Services and Advice Center.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment has the most public service units, including 5 units: Forest Management Board; Agricultural Extension Center; Land Registration Office; Center for Monitoring and Natural Resources, Environment; and Land Fund Development Center.
At the same time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment has 5 sub-departments: Cultivation and Plant Protection; Animal Husbandry, Aquaculture and Veterinary Medicine; Irrigation; Forestry; Rural Development. The Department of Construction has 1 sub-department, the Construction Appraisal Sub-department.
The Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Finance and the Department of Science and Technology do not have branches. The Department of Home Affairs has an Emulation and Reward Board under its management.
The decisions take effect from March 1 and replace old decisions of the Provincial People's Committee regulating the position, functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the old department.
