Accordingly, at around 1:50 p.m. on October 13, the Hai Van Pass slope (Da Nang area) at Km 905+600 suffered a landslide. The landslide point this afternoon is also the location of the landslide due to storms in 2022.
According to traffic police, in addition to the rocks and soil covering the road, the iron frames reinforcing the embankment also collapsed, causing a complete traffic jam.
Leaders of the Hoa Hiep Gate Traffic Police Station have assigned forces to organize traffic flow, not allowing people and vehicles to go up Hai Van Pass.
Specifically, the first checkpoint is on Ta Quang Buu Street, the checkpoint is on the Hai Van Tunnel South bypass and the checkpoint is at the foot of Hai Van Pass. The Traffic Police of Thua Thien-Hue Province also set up checkpoints, preventing vehicles from going up the pass from the North.
