Increase passenger transport
This year's holiday coincides with the opening of Hai Hoa, Hai Tien, and Sam Son beach tourism, so the travel demand of people and tourists coming and going will increase compared to other times of the year. Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, CEO of Van Anh Tourism and Transport Company Limited (Thanh Hoa City), said: Currently, the company has 16 24-bed passenger vans specializing in transporting passengers on the Thanh Hoa - Hanoi route and vice versa with a frequency of 42 trips/day.
To serve the travel needs of people returning home during the holidays and tourists, the company has repaired, maintained, and refurbished vehicles to ensure the best quality of service for passengers. Along with that, the company has a plan to increase 5 to 10 trips/day to avoid congestion of passengers going to and from Thanh Hoa.
In addition, each vehicle is equipped with a journey monitoring camera to manage and monitor compliance with speed regulations as well as the attitude of drivers and staff serving passengers. The company also invested in the application of information technology to book tickets via the call center, creating favorable conditions for passengers. Along with that, the company has just invested in a new fleet of 7-seat cars to pick up and drop off passengers at home, creating conditions for passengers to travel conveniently and safely.

Tien Phuong (Nhu Xuan) bus company is one of the fixed-route passenger transport businesses from Giap Bat Bus Station - Thanh Hoa City - Nong Cong - Nhu Thanh - Yen Cat and vice versa. It has also invested and innovated its vehicles to better meet the travel needs of passengers. Mr. Tran Van Tien, Deputy Director of Tien Phuong (Nhu Xuan) Transport - Trade Service Cooperative, said: Currently, the Cooperative has 15 passenger vehicles running on the fixed route Thanh Hoa - Hanoi and vice versa with a frequency of 20 trips/day. To meet the travel needs of people during the holidays, the Cooperative has a plan to increase 5 to 10 trips/day. Along with that, the Cooperative instructs employees and drivers not to arbitrarily increase fares or collect surcharges without permission from competent authorities.

According to Mr. Vu Minh Thuan, Head of Transport Management Department, Department of Transport, in order to better serve the travel needs of people and tourists during the holidays, the transport sector requires enterprises and cooperatives operating passenger transport on fixed routes to coordinate with bus station management units to develop service plans on routes to promptly serve when passenger traffic suddenly increases.
Enterprises should proactively increase vehicles, rotate, increase trips, and organize transportation reasonably to relieve passengers, not leaving backlogs at bus stations. Enterprises are strictly prohibited from skipping trips to use contract passenger transport vehicles. During peak periods before and during the holidays, based on the actual situation, the transport sector will issue additional badges to transport vehicles for 10 to 15 days to pick up passengers from Hanoi and southern provinces and cities to Thanh Hoa. At the same time, be ready to mobilize 30 to 40 additional vehicles to relieve passengers at bus stations in the province to other provinces and cities.
Strictly manage passenger transport activities

Currently, in the province, there are 736 passenger transport businesses with 1,057 vehicles. Of which, there are 113 enterprises with 472 vehicles; 10 cooperatives with 27 vehicles; 614 business households with 558 vehicles.
In order to facilitate passenger transport units from January 1 to present, the Department of Transport has issued 1,738 badges for transport vehicles; 151 car transport business licenses; 249 Vietnam - Laos intermodal transport licenses; and approved the operation of 9 fixed passenger transport routes.
In order to prepare to serve the travel needs of people and tourists well, the Department of Transport has a Plan to organize transportation activities to serve the travel needs of people, ensuring order and traffic safety during the April 30 - May 1 holidays and the peak summer tourist season in 2024.

Along with that, focus on patrolling, controlling and strictly handling violations, such as: Using vehicles beyond the inspection period; overloading; passenger vans picking up and dropping off passengers at the wrong place; activities of "illegal buses and bus stations"; "contract and tourist vehicles operating under the guise of fixed routes".
The Road Traffic Inspection Teams coordinate with bus stations and functional forces to make records for vehicles picking up and dropping off passengers outside the station, raising ticket prices higher than prescribed; driving on the wrong route, carrying more passengers... violating regulations in transport business activities. Also according to Chief Inspector Vuong Quoc Quan, the unit coordinates with the Transport Management Department (Department of Transport) to arrange human resources to exploit data from vehicle journey monitoring devices to strengthen supervision, promptly provide data to functional forces to strictly handle according to the law for vehicle owners and drivers who violate; especially focusing on regulations to ensure traffic safety for drivers of transport business cars.
