(VLO) On the morning of February 26, the Organizing Committee of the Military-Civilian Tet and the Cultural-Sports Festival of Khmer people in Vinh Long province in 2025 held the first conference to inspect and review all aspects of preparation work of departments, branches and localities. Colonel Pham Van Khiem - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Military-Civilian Tet, chaired the conference.

At the conference, leaders of departments, branches, sectors, and organizations of the province and locality of Dong Thanh commune, Binh Minh town heard reports on the progress of implementing the works to prepare for the military-civilian Tet activities and the Khmer Cultural and Sports Festival of Vinh Long province in 2025 and contributed opinions to the detailed program of activities during the military-civilian Tet; the majority of opinions agreed with each work assigned to each department, branch, sector, local organization, and unit.
Along with that, the delegates contributed to solutions to complete the preparations for the opening ceremony and cultural and sports activities, deploy the construction of houses to support households in especially difficult circumstances; award scholarships to support students who overcome difficulties to study well; organize competitions to wrap banh tet, community cakes and jams, traditional Khmer cuisine; ensure security and order and traffic safety during the military-civilian Tet activities, creating a joyful, exciting atmosphere, full of military-civilian affection.
This year's military-civilian Tet activities and Khmer Cultural and Sports Festival in Vinh Long province take place from April 9-11.
