Saigon Telecommunication Technology Joint Stock Company (Saigontel) proposed to invest in the construction of a Data Center Project in Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City.
According to a private source of the reporter of the Investment Electronic Newspaper - Baodautu.vn, recently Saigon Telecommunication Technology Joint Stock Company (Saigontel) sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and a number of related units proposing to invest in the Data Center Project at Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City.
To demonstrate its commitment to investing in the Project, this investor proposes to present a letter of commitment to support the cooperation between Saigontel and Saigon Asset Management Company regarding the implementation of the Project at the event "Ho Chi Minh City - New York Fall Forum" taking place on October 29, 2024 in New York, USA.

Regarding this Project, on October 18, 2024, the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones (Hepza) issued Document No. 3081/BQL-DT to the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) stating that the Data Center Project in Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park as proposed by Saigontel is consistent with the City's investment attraction orientation and the planning of Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park.
Hepza affirmed that it will support and closely coordinate with relevant agencies to create the most favorable conditions for Saigontel to conduct research and carry out legal and administrative procedures to ensure that the Data Center Project in Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park is implemented smoothly, effectively, and in accordance with legal regulations.
Also at Tan Phu Trung Industrial Park, Cu Chi district, the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel) is currently building a Data Center with a capacity of about 6,500 racks (computer cabinets), with a total investment of 14,700 billion VND.
The project construction process is divided into 2 phases, of which phase 1 is expected to officially come into operation from the fourth quarter of 2025 with a capacity of about 1,600 racks, phase 2 (from 2026 - 2030) is expected to come into operation from the first quarter of 2028 with a capacity of about 4,800 racks.
Currently, Ho Chi Minh City is also calling for investment in the Data Center at the City High-Tech Park. This project is currently receiving investment proposals from 5 major investors including: CMC Corporation (Vietnam); Evolution Corporation (Singapore); NTT Data Corporation (Japan); Hyosung Corporation (Korea); Joint Venture of Coteccon Company (Vietnam), Eaton (USA).
