Quang Ninh organizes hot air balloon festival in Ha Long city on the occasion of National Day holiday September 2

In addition to admiring the beautiful natural scenery, visitors will experience flying and visiting hot air balloons when coming to Ha Long during the National Day holiday on September 2.

On August 14, a representative of the People's Committee of Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, said that the unit plans to organize the first hot air balloon festival at October 30 Square and Ocean Park.

Accordingly, the program takes place during the 2-day holiday of September 1 and 2 with the theme "Heritage City - Colors of Ha Long" in 2024. The highlight of the Festival is that people and tourists will experience flying and sightseeing on hot air balloons.

The program was held for the first time in Ha Long City, as one of the activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Ha Long Bay becoming a World Natural Heritage (1994-2024).

According to Vice Chairman of Ha Long City People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Son, the hot air festival is organized to concretize the project "Ha Long - Festival City", as well as bring people and tourists impressive experiences and interesting, unforgettable feelings when admiring from above the beautiful, majestic space of this place.

At the same time, to promote the image of the Heritage City, culture and people of Ha Long; create attractive tourism products in the summer of 2024, contributing to attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate.

For sightseeing inside the balloon, it will take place at 30/10 Square from 7:30-9:30 and from 15:30 every day. The city will also issue free sightseeing tickets (or cards) to control the number of visitors.

The hot air balloon lantern night will be held from 7:30 p.m. on September 2, 2024 at October 30 Square.

The ground decoration balloons took place on September 1 and 2 at October 30 Square.

Along with the Hot Air Balloon Festival, there will be a supplementary activity of paragliding. The flight route from Bai Chay will fly over Cua Luc Bay to October 30 Square and vice versa.
