On February 2, Binh Hai Border Guard Station, Quang Ngai Provincial Border Guard handed over the entire quantity of more than 280kg of cocaine seized on the coast of Phuoc Thien village, Binh Hai commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province to the Investigation Police Department of Quang Ngai Provincial Police for further investigation and clarification.
Pursuant to the decision of the People's Procuracy of Binh Son District, Quang Ngai Province, on transferring 3 criminal cases of illegal drug transportation to the Drug Crime Investigation Police Agency under Quang Ngai Provincial Police for further investigation under its authority, on February 2, Binh Hai Border Guard Station transported 288.63 kg of cocaine and documents related to the case to Quang Ngai Provincial Police.
Previously, from January 4 to present, Binh Hai Border Guard Station coordinated with the Central Drug and Crime Prevention Task Force, functional forces and local people to discover and seize 291.57 kg of cocaine drifting ashore in Phuoc Thien village, Binh Hai commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai province.
Based on the results of the physical evidence appraisal and the people's crime denunciation, Binh Hai Border Guard Station has decided to initiate four criminal cases to investigate the illegal transportation of drugs.
Binh Hai Border Guard Station determined that the criminal case was under the jurisdiction of the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ngai Provincial Police, so it requested the People's Procuracy of Binh Son District to transfer the case.
