Quang Nam, the land of bravery and resilience

Turning back the clock, at exactly 10:30 a.m. on March 24, 1975, the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam flew on the roof of the Quang Tin provincial building, now Tam Ky City (Quang Nam). Tam Ky became the first provincial capital on the Central coastal strip to be liberated.

The liberation of Quang Nam province on March 24, 1975 became a brilliant milestone in the history of the revolutionary struggle of the Party Committee, army and people of Quang Nam, marking the complete victory of the resistance war against the US, saving the country in the homeland of Quang Nam. Also in this historic March, 95 years ago, on March 28, 1930, the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee was established.

“The historical milestones and achievements in the 95th anniversary of the establishment of the Provincial Party Committee and 50 years of the liberation of the homeland are the premise, foundation, motivation and valuable luggage for the Party Committee and people of Quang Nam to be excited, proud and confident on the journey ahead,” said Mr. Triet.

On the same afternoon (March 24), Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, along with the working delegation, came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Martyrs' Cemetery of Quang Nam province. In addition, the working delegation visited and presented gifts to the family of Mr. Le Van Tri, a 1/4-class disabled soldier in An My ward (Tam Ky city).
