Opening of the Vietnam International Shrimp Industry Technology Exhibition 2025

Viet-Uc Group introduces shrimp seeds produced using high-tech processes at the fair.

On the morning of March 26, in Can Tho City, the Department of Fisheries and Fisheries Surveillance (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment) coordinated with the Vietnam Fisheries Association to organize the opening ceremony of the 6th Vietnam International Shrimp Technology Exhibition - 2025. Attending the opening ceremony of the Fair was Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment - Phung Duc Tien.

Participating in the Fair, Bac Lieu province has the Management Board of Bac Lieu High-Tech Shrimp Development Agricultural Zone, seafood trading companies and more than 200 shrimp farmers in the province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment - Phung Duc Tien emphasized that over the past two decades, the shrimp industry has always played an important role in Vietnam's seafood exports in particular and the development of the economy in general. The shrimp industry community has made continuous efforts to make Vietnamese shrimp one of the main export products to the international market, making Vietnam one of the world's leading shrimp suppliers.

The fair took place over 3 days (from March 26 to 28), attracting over 200 booths of nearly 150 domestic and international enterprises and organizations to display and introduce diverse products from food, breeds, aquatic medicine to machinery and technological solutions for the entire shrimp and aquaculture industry.

With a focus on 4 seminars, the Fair will focus on analyzing the opportunities and challenges of the Vietnamese shrimp industry in the context of climate change and green development trends; discussing solutions for greening the shrimp industry, reducing emissions in shrimp farming, developing the shrimp industry supply chain, enhancing technology application - reducing farming costs...
