Many activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tay Ninh liberation

On the afternoon of March 26, the Organizing Committee of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification, associated with the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Tay Ninh (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) held a conference to report on the progress of the implementation of the holiday's activities. Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh chaired the conference.

At the conference, Mr. Tran Anh Minh - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism presented a detailed diagram of the booths at the festival; reported on the progress of implementing the items according to the plan.

The representative of the Provincial Military Command presented the plan to purchase low-altitude fireworks, with an expected fireworks display time of 15 minutes. In addition, departments and branches also reported on the progress of the assigned items.

Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh chaired the conference.

According to the plan, the activities will take place from April 25 to May 2, 2025, in the open space of Xuan Hong Park with many events: photo exhibitions about historical events; organizing spaces to display artifacts, products... reflecting the achievements of economy, culture, society, national defense, and security after 50 years of liberating the province;

Organize a space to display intangible cultural heritage and let visitors experience: Trang Bang rice paper making; Tay Ninh vegetarian food preparation; Tay Ninh chili salt making; incense making; Tra Vong Quan Lon Festival; Gia Loc Trang Bang communal house's Ky Yen Festival; Chhay-dam drum dance; Southern amateur music; Linh Son Thanh Mau festival.

From April 25 to May 2, at No. 436, 30/4 Street, Quarter 3, Ward 3, Tay Ninh City (former Hoa Binh Hotel area), the 2025 Tay Ninh Province Trade and Industry Fair, OCOP Products and Regional Specialties is expected to be held with a scale of 150 booths of OCOP products, regional specialties of Tay Ninh Province and other localities (if there is a need to participate).

The main activities on April 29 include: organizing a visit, offering incense and laying wreaths to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Provincial Heroic Martyrs Monument; an art program and low-altitude fireworks display to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Tay Ninh Liberation Day at Xuan Hong Park (live broadcast from 7pm to 9pm).

In his speech, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh requested the Organizing Committee to mobilize all resources from political and social organizations and unions to contribute and participate in providing images, documents and content related to the holiday; the overall program needs many documents on the economic, cultural, social, national defense and security achievements of the province over the past 50 years.

Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to be the main focal point, urging units to speed up the implementation of items according to plan; at the same time, there is close coordination between departments, branches and sectors to successfully complete assigned tasks, successfully organize the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Tay Ninh Liberation Day.
