The Naval Region 2 Command (under the Navy) organized two ship trips on the occasion of the New Year 2025, carrying a delegation to inspect combat readiness, visit and wish a Happy New Year to officers and soldiers on DK1 platforms, duty ships, and Radar Station 590.

During the trip, the delegation will also visit and congratulate the new year to the civil and political agencies and armed forces stationed in Con Dao district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

In order for the working group to depart smoothly this morning, January 1, 2025, many officers and soldiers have made efforts to complete the logistics and technical work by the end of 2024 at the Truong Sa Defense Economic Group port (Vung Tau City).

Wearing the navy uniform, with a radiant face, soldier Tran Quang Huy said that in 2023 he was still a young soldier who had just joined, and could not help but be excited and nervous when he knew that he was about to go to Huyen Tran's house, in the DK1 platform cluster, to guard the sea and sky of the Fatherland. On the occasion of the new year 2025, before being discharged from the army, he was able to return to the mainland to join hands in logistics, transferring gifts to the ship, ready to send to his comrades on the distant islands.

"While working on the rig, receiving Tet gifts made me feel full of joy, warmth, peace, and more secure when working at sea, protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands," the young soldier expressed.

Standing in the middle of the ship's hold, soldier Tran Trung Duc holds a list, checking the Tet gifts that have just been loaded onto the ship. His teammates roll up their sleeves to help transport and load the goods.

What is special is that before that, Trung Duc and many other soldiers standing beside him had also fought at the DK1 platform cluster. Having devoted themselves to the front lines, last year these soldiers received a fragrant Tet gift, and this year they became the support for their comrades who are guarding the rough seas, through logistics work, connecting the mainland and the islands.
