Volleyball March 31: VTV Binh Dien Long An wins over Binh Chung Thong Tin

Previously, the matches on March 30 helped determine the top 4 teams and won tickets to the Hung Vuong Cup. However, the match between VTV Binh Dien Long An and the Northeastern Information Corps still had the meaning of determining the second and third place teams after the first phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship (LPBank Ninh Binh, first place).

About a month ago at the Hoa Lu Cup, the Northeastern Information Corps was the winning team when they met in the semi-finals. But that was when VTV Binh Dien Long An did not have the service of main striker Tran Thi Thanh Thuy.

This time, the presence of the girl born in 1997 brought many differences. Thanh Thuy showed the class of someone who has competed abroad for many years.

Not only does she have powerful smashes, she also has many simple, drop shots that surprise the opponent's defense.

VTV Binh Dien Long An did not encounter too many difficulties to win 3-1 (25-12, 26-28, 25-22, 25-18).

In which, Thanh Thuy alone scored 38 points in this match. The high performance of the captain of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team after the first stage certainly brought much joy to the fans.

The victory also helped VTV Binh Dien Long An rank second, while the Information Corps ranked third.

In the remaining women's match, XMLS Thanh Hoa easily defeated TP.HCM 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-20). The city team ended the first phase with a record of losing all 5 matches, without a single win.

In the men's event, LPBank Ninh Binh salvaged hope when they defeated Da Nang 3-1 (25-19, 25-21, 19-25, 25-17). This victory was not enough to help them enter the top 4, but it was a positive sign towards stage 2.

Meanwhile, Border Guard defeated Hanoi 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 28-26) to join Ho Chi Minh City Police in having a perfect record after the first stage.
