Developing tourism gift products not only contributes to effective tourism promotion but also introduces the cultural beauty, people's lives and promotes the local economy to grow. Therefore, many localities, areas and tourist spots in the province have focused on developing and creating many attractive tourism gift products for tourists.

Gifts contribute to positioning Thanh Hoa tourism brand Souvenir sales area at the World Cultural Heritage Citadel of the Ho Dynasty (Vinh Loc).

In the grounds of the Ho Dynasty Citadel World Cultural Heritage Site (Vinh Loc), there are currently many stalls selling souvenirs and OCOP-recognized products such as Tan Lap hill chicken eggs, areca nut sticky rice, Phu Quang Lam tea, Bao ginseng wine, tapioca flour, honey, etc. The souvenir stalls are divided into areas, arranged in a fairly orderly manner, with beautiful packaging and labels and guaranteed quality.

Deputy Director of the Ho Dynasty Citadel Heritage Conservation Center Trinh Huu Anh said: "For each destination, in addition to tourism products and service quality, the development of diverse gift and souvenir products is considered an important factor in attracting tourists. Therefore, in recent years, the center has actively coordinated with the People's Committee of Vinh Loc district, businesses and private units to invest in building areas to display and sell souvenir products in the Ho Dynasty Citadel to enhance the value of the destination."

As one of the regular visitors to Ho Dynasty Citadel, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Anh (Thanh Hoa City) said: "When visiting tourist areas and spots, I always want to buy souvenirs typical of that land to preserve memories and give as gifts to relatives and friends. Therefore, every time I visit, I am excited about the products sold here. The products are decorated with beautiful, attractive designs and packaging, and the quality is guaranteed."

If in the past, at tourist destinations in the province, there was a lack of souvenir products for tourists, or if there were, they were quite monotonous, now at the destinations there are a variety of products that attract tourists, bearing local characteristics. These are stalls selling agricultural products, brocade items, products of craft villages, culinary dishes...

Ba Thuoc is one of the districts that has attracted a large number of tourists from both inside and outside the province to visit and experience in recent years. Therefore, the district pays special attention to exploiting the potential and advantages of the locality to create souvenir products for sale at tourist areas and spots. At tourist areas and spots in the district, many souvenir items are sold such as brocade weaving products of the Thai ethnic group in Lan Ngoai village (Lung Niem commune), medicinal products in Son - Ba - Muoi area, products from the hoi kumquat tree, or dishes such as Co Lung duck... Most of the products are diverse in types, designs and guaranteed in quality.

In Lan Ngoai village, in recent years, thanks to the combination with community tourism development, the brocade weaving profession has developed strongly. Currently, the brocade weaving village attracts more than 200 women to participate. If in the past, the products were only produced by the people to serve the needs of life such as blankets, clothes, towels, chair cushions, etc., now to serve tourists who buy products as souvenirs, the people have created many diverse items such as pillows, bags, tablecloths, key chains, etc. The products are consumed at Pho Doan market, Pu Luong tourist area. In addition, the traditional products of the craft village have also reached out to sales points, markets in neighboring communes, districts and some other provinces. Thanks to the products sold at tourist areas and spots being consumed in large quantities, the people in the village have more jobs, increased income, and the preservation and development of the brocade weaving profession also contributes to preserving and promoting the cultural beauty of the Thai ethnic group here.

With advantages in natural landscape, culture, history, people, and a system of traditional crafts and craft villages spread across all regions of the province from handicrafts, bamboo and rattan weaving to stone carving, bronze casting, baking, incense making... there is great potential for Thanh Hoa to develop souvenirs and gifts for tourism. Therefore, many businesses and units have constantly innovated and sought ways to spread the typical products of their homeland, in which the development and use of OCOP products as gifts and souvenirs have brought about practical results.

In order to strongly develop souvenir products to serve tourists, in the coming time, there needs to be more synchronous coordination between localities, individuals, business organizations, and people at tourist destinations to have effective ways, to stimulate creativity in designing souvenir products and tourist gifts that are imbued with local cultural characteristics.
