On April 12 and 13, in Krong Na commune, the People's Committee of Buon Don district, Dak Lak province coordinated with Dak Lak 2/9 Import-Export One Member Limited Liability Company (Simexco Daklak), the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association of Dak Lak province to organize the traditional Bunpimay - Laos New Year (Buddhist calendar 2568) in 2025 and the Cultural Festival of Ethnic Groups of Buon Don district.

Buon Don is a border district of Dak Lak province. The whole district has 24 ethnic groups living together, of which Lao Vietnamese have about 110 households, with more than 400 people living mainly in Krong Na commune.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Buon Don District Ethnic Cultural Festival and Bunpimay - Laos New Year, Vice Chairman of Buon Don District People's Committee Le Van Nuoi emphasized: "The Buon Don District Ethnic Cultural Festival in 2025 and Bunpimay - Laos New Year are held annually for ethnic people to meet, exchange, learn, and share experiences in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values of ethnic groups, in order to strengthen solidarity and cohesion among ethnic groups.
