Phuong Le

Amidst criticism, on the evening of August 27, Mrs. Grand International 2017 posted on her personal page, declaring that she wanted to return the crown to the pageant's organizers because it was no longer appropriate.
"From today, Phuong Le realizes that she is not suitable for the title of Miss, so please allow me to be an ordinary woman without a title. I will contact the contest organizers to return the crown," Phuong Le said.
Miss Phuong Le added that the title was a stepping stone for her to get closer to many people. But after August 27, she is just an ordinary mother and wife, no longer a beauty queen.
Besides, Phuong Le also apologized to the public, promised to work hard, and serve the community.
Trieu Thi Ha
Before Phuong Le, the Vietnamese beauty world witnessed the noisy incident of returning the crown of Miss Trieu Thi Ha.
Specifically, in 2011, the beauty from Cao Bang beat many competitors to win the second season of Miss Ethnic Vietnam. Three years later, Trieu Thi Ha surprised the public when she wrote a petition to return the title.
In the public content, the beauty revealed the reason: "Due to health, I am not qualified to implement the regulations of the organizing committee and the leadership. Therefore, I would like to return the title of Miss Vietnam Ethnic Groups for the second time - 2011...".
After much consideration, the organizers still decided to keep Trieu Thi Ha's crown. After that, Miss Vietnam Ethnic Groups 2011 gradually withdrew from entertainment activities, refusing to share information with the media.
In recent years, Trieu Thi Ha has reappeared with images of her daily life. Currently, she spends time taking care of her family and developing her own business.
Dang Thu Thao
In 2017, Le Au Ngan Anh faced many mixed opinions when she was crowned Miss Ocean.
Not only the audience, the previous Miss Dang Thu Thao also spoke out against it, saying that Ngan Anh was not worthy because she had plastic surgery. Adding to the noise with the organizers, the beauty born in 1995 wanted to give up the title of Miss Ocean 2014.
At that time, Dang Thu Thao said that she felt her title was being lowered because the new Miss admitted to having undergone plastic surgery, but the organizers still decided to defend her choice.
