Insider has compiled a list of the most famous dishes around the world to choose the top 60 dishes that everyone should try at least once in their life. Some of the typical names such as pho, banh mi from Vietnam, and deep-dish pizza from Chicago are dishes that can be easily enjoyed by diners, from street stalls to Michelin-starred restaurants.

Described as Vietnam's "national dish", the rich flavor of the broth combined with soft yet chewy pho noodles and beef or chicken will leave a lasting impression on diners.

CNN once commented that very few street foods in the world can compete with the popularity of Vietnamese pho. This popular dish is sold in every corner of the S-shaped land. From roadside eateries, in cafes, and even in luxury restaurants.

Besides, banh mi is also one of two representatives of Vietnam voted in this list. Baguette was brought to Vietnam by the French in the 20th century, but it is the creativity and variation of the people here that has made this dish famous all over the world.

The most popular version of banh mi is filled with pork liver pate, pork sausage, shredded pickled carrots, coriander, sauce and a few other ingredients. You can also find banh mi with grilled meat. The crispy crust and fresh ingredients in the filling will bring diners an unforgettable experience.

Insider's list this time also includes many other familiar dishes around the world such as Peking duck, pad Thai, kimchi, tacos, ramen noodles, dimsum, shakshuka...
