Deputy Inspector General of Government Duong Quoc Huy received the delegation of the Korean Institute of Inspection and Auditing Training

Speaking at the meeting, on behalf of the leaders of the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam, Deputy Inspector General of the Government Duong Quoc Huy warmly welcomed Mr. Kim Sun Sik and his colleagues in the delegation of the Korean Institute of Inspection and Auditing Training to visit and work with the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam.

Deputy Inspector General of the Government of Vietnam Duong Quoc Huy said that the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam and the Board of Inspection and Audit of Korea (BAI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in 2004. Up to now, the two agencies have had 20 years of very practical and effective cooperation. In particular, through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the very high-quality support of the Institute of Inspection and Audit (AITI) in developing and organizing training programs, Vietnamese officials and civil servants working in inspection, anti-corruption have attended many very useful and practical professional training courses on inspection, auditing and anti-corruption held in Korea.

In addition, AITI has enthusiastically supported the reception and organization of working sessions with delegations from local inspection agencies of Vietnam to visit and learn about inspection and anti-corruption work at the request of the Government Inspectorate. The Government Inspectorate of Vietnam acknowledges and is very grateful for the support that you and Korean partners have given to the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam and the Inspection sector in the past time.

Deputy Inspector General Duong Quoc Huy expressed his belief that Mr. Kim Sun Sik's visit this time is a good opportunity to further enhance mutual understanding between the two Agencies, further promote cooperative activities to contribute to strengthening the friendly and cooperative relationship between the Government Inspectorate of Vietnam and the Korean Inspection and Audit Board in particular and the strategic partnership and cooperation between Vietnam and Korea in general.

Mr. Kim Sun Sik, President of the Korean Audit and Inspection Training Institute, said that AITI under the Korean Audit and Inspection Board and the School of Inspectors under the Government Inspectorate are both units responsible for designing, developing and organizing professional training courses for officials and civil servants in the respective sectors of the two countries. Therefore, this working session will be an opportunity for the two sides to share good practical experiences in teaching methods and developing training programs for officials of the two sides.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Khanh, Vice Principal of the Inspectorate School, introduced a number of professional training methods and programs for inspectors that are being applied to train officers for the Government Inspectorate and the Inspectorate sector of Vietnam.

At the meeting, Deputy Inspector General of the Government of Vietnam Duong Quoc Huy respectfully requested Mr. Kim Sun Sik, in his role as Chairman of AITI, to continue advising the leaders of the Korean Inspection and Audit Board so that the two agencies can continue to coordinate more closely, so that many similar courses will be organized to further spread Korea's good practices in inspection and audit work.

Deputy Inspector General of the Government of Vietnam Duong Quoc Huy hopes that in the coming time, the cooperation between the two Agencies will be further promoted with many practical cooperation activities. At the same time, he hopes that AITI will continue to pay attention and help organize training courses for Government Inspectorate officials and relevant agencies of Vietnam to further expand learning opportunities and exchange practical experiences between the two Agencies.
