Coming to Da Lat, tourists from all over have the opportunity to admire the endless flower gardens with different types of flowers that cannot be found anywhere else in Vietnam.
On the evening of December 5, at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat city (Lam Dong province), the opening ceremony of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival 2024 with the theme "Da Lat Flowers - Symphony of Colors" took place.
Attending the ceremony were Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; former leaders of the Party and State; leaders of Central Committees, Ministries, branches and provinces and cities; foreign representative agencies in Vietnam, international delegations and about 15,000 local people, domestic and foreign tourists.
Opening the Festival, Mr. Tran Hong Thai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival emphasized that this Da Lat Flower Festival inherits the fine traditions of the 9 previous Flower Festivals. At the same time, there are many differences, organized throughout the province, from now until December 31, 2024 with new, unique, diverse cultural and artistic events of international stature to honor the Da Lat flower industry, the cultural and humanistic values of Lam Dong people.
Through flowers and music, we express the hearts of Lam Dong people overcoming difficulties and challenges, enthusiastically contributing so that Da Lat flowers not only bring economic value but also symbolize the strength of 47 resilient ethnic groups in the past, the bravery in the present and the aspiration to rise up with the era of national rise.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh assessed that for a long time, Da Lat has been known by the affectionate name of the city of thousands of flowers, with friendly and hospitable people, delicious and attractive cuisine, cool climate, beautiful landscapes, unique architecture, famous tourist destinations, and attractive to visitors.

Proud to be a locality with 3 world heritages honored by UNESCO: Central Highlands Gong Cultural Space; World Documentary Heritage "Nguyen Dynasty Woodblocks"; Lang Biang World Biosphere Reserve along with 37 historical and cultural relics, national and provincial-level scenic spots, 17 types of intangible cultural heritage of the community of 47 ethnic groups living together have woven an attractive cultural and humanistic picture...
The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that in the coming time, Lam Dong province continue to pay attention to environmental protection work, actively promote environmentally friendly behavior, and raise sense of responsibility in the whole community.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh said that this festival continues to affirm Da Lat city as the flower festival city of Vietnam. It is a typical festival of the poetic highland city, a creative city in the field of music of UNESCO and a city in the "Group of 5 impressive festival cities of Asia."
This is not only a festival for the ethnic people of Lam Dong province but also an opportunity for domestic and international tourists to meet and experience the unique cultural and tourism values of Da Lat, contributing practically to the goal of the province welcoming the 10 millionth tourist by the end of this year. More strongly promote the special agricultural economy associated with heritage conservation tourism and culture, nature in Lam Dong province.

After the opening ceremony, the Special Art Program Part II titled "Endless Experience" with the participation of about 400 artists, professional and non-professional actors, extras from professional art units of Hanoi Capital, Ho Chi Minh City...
Notably, there are famous singers and artists such as Ho Ngoc Ha, Ho Quynh Huong, Van Mai Huong, Ho Trung Dung, The Wings Group, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Rapper group Ram C, Male and female choir, Korean artist Violin JMIKO...
The theme “Endless Experience” lasts nearly 30 minutes with scenes such as “Hello Da Lat,” “City of Thousands of Flowers,” “City in the Clouds,” “City of Music,” “Light Up the City”...
Through these scenes, viewers begin their journey to enjoy and explore the beauty of Da Lat, immersing themselves in the lives of local people.
Part 3 of the opening art program with the theme “Brilliant Symphony” lasted 15 minutes. On the stage, 10 fresh flower floats appeared, corresponding to 10 times of organizing the Da Lat Flower Festival. Each float will be a creation of different themes, with a model creating a typical Da Lat flower costume with the participation of 200 actors representing ethnic groups in the province - combining parade and dance performance. All together create a “Brilliant Symphony”...
Notably, for the first time in 10 Da Lat Flower Festivals, the opening art program featured a Drone light performance with hundreds of Drones flying in the sky, creating visual support for the performances on stage.
Drone light creates gong scenes, panoramic views of Da Lat city, images of Da Lat train station, images of typical flowers of Da Lat... and lines conveying the feelings of Da Lat people to tourists.
Meanwhile, the surface of Xuan Huong Lake also became a performance stage with 10 flower models of Da Lat and the Flower Festival logo on the lake surface lit up with LED lights, making viewers very excited.../.
