Promoting the value of Nguyen Trung Truc temple

Nguyen Trung Truc Temple in Vinh Hoi village, Cat Hai commune, Phu Cat district, was inaugurated in October 2020. This is a project of important historical and spiritual significance, contributing to honoring the national hero. This project was built in ancient architectural style, including items such as the three-door gate, management house, ceremony house, viewing house, stele house and ceremony yard, creating a beautiful, solemn space in harmony with the surrounding nature.

In our opinion, to continue to improve and promote the value of the temple, we can consider adding by integrating Han - Nom cultural elements, to honor and convey more deeply the life and career of Nguyen Trung Truc.

1. First, we should add Han-Nom cultural elements to increase the sacredness and solemnity of the worship space. First of all, it is necessary to display Han-Nom poetry and literature compositions written about Nguyen Trung Truc. Poems praising Nguyen Trung Truc, especially the seven-word eight-line poem by Huynh Man Dat: "Hoa hong Nhat Tao oanh thien dia/ Kiem bat Kien Giang khap quy than" (The red fire of Nhat Tao shakes the heavens and the earth/ The drawn sword of Kien Giang frightens the ghosts and gods). Second, it is necessary to engrave stone stele or horizontal lacquered boards and parallel sentences in Han-Nom characters, which are parallel sentences expressing his steadfast fighting spirit, and organize Han-Nom calligraphy exhibitions on festivals and spring days, helping visitors understand more about the cultural heritage related to Nguyen Trung Truc.

Regarding the development of the memorial space and surrounding landscape, perhaps the management levels should consider building an exhibition area about Nguyen Trung Truc's life to introduce documents, paintings, and models recreating the Nhat Tao battle and his exploits; creating a green landscape by planting more trees and flower gardens in the traditional style to create a solemn space in harmony with nature. Combining a lake or small stream to create a feng shui highlight, symbolizing the purity and spirit of the hero.

2. In organizing cultural and spiritual activities, it is necessary to pay attention to aspects such as: Organizing folk cultural performances such as hát bội, bài chòi, and ho ve telling about the life of Nguyen Trung Truc at traditional festivals, linking the organization of the annual death anniversary of Nguyen Trung Truc with traditional rituals, attracting tourists and people to offer incense. Providing detailed information and official documents on history and culture related to Nguyen Trung Truc to tour guides at the site, tour guides in and outside the province.

Actively apply technology in preserving and introducing heritage related to Nguyen Trung Truc at temples and some other localities by designing QR codes on stone steles and horizontal lacquered boards, helping visitors scan the codes to read detailed information about poems and parallel sentences. Use virtual reality technology (VR) or 3D models to recreate Nguyen Trung Truc's historical battles, helping visitors have a more realistic experience. Design websites and social networks to promote images, provide historical information, and update events about the temple.

In addition, develop a plan to connect tourism and develop the local economy through the process of creating a cultural - spiritual tourism route combining Nguyen Trung Truc Temple with other historical destinations in Binh Dinh such as Banh It Tower, Quang Trung Museum, and Altar of Heaven. Select and develop souvenir products such as books, calligraphy paintings, and handicrafts bearing the symbol of Nguyen Trung Truc. Support the local community through surrounding people to develop food and homestay services to attract tourists.

The completion of Nguyen Trung Truc Temple is not only an architectural renovation but also an opportunity to preserve and promote historical and cultural values. Combining Han-Nom elements, traditional landscapes, cultural activities, technology applications and tourism development will help the temple become an important destination, contributing to spreading the patriotism of the national hero.
