Recently, Oppo Product Director Zhou Yibao confirmed that the upcoming Find X8 flagship line will use a new generation of silicon-carbon batteries called Glacier.

The Glacier battery was first used on the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro launched in June this year, where the battery's energy density was claimed to be 23.1% higher than traditional graphite batteries. In addition, ultra-thin foldable devices such as the newly launched Honor Magic V2 and Magic M3 also take advantage of this battery technology.

Oppo also revealed that their Glacier battery has the highest silicon-carbon anode ratio in the industry at 6%. Technically, the higher the silicon content, the higher the energy density.

According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the Find X8 series includes 3 products with battery capacities of 5,600 mAh, 5,700 mAh, and 6,100/6,200 mAh respectively.

Previously, there were sources saying that Find X8 will be equipped with a 6.5-inch OLED screen with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to have a flat screen instead of curved on both sides like the previous generation.

Find X8 will have a 3-camera rear system including: a telephoto camera using a quality periscope lens, the main camera using a 50MP Sony sensor with a size of 1/1.4 inches.

The Find X8 Series sensor is similar to the Find X7, which is the Sony LYT-808 sensor, while the periscope camera uses the Sony IMX 882 sensor with a size of 1/1.953 inches.

Famous leaker Smart Pikachu shared on Weibo that the Find X8 will be OPPO's next-generation high-end smartphone using MediaTek's high-end Dimensity 9400 chip, which will be launched in October. This SoC is expected to have a 3.4 GHz Cortex-X5 super core, 3 high-performance Cortex-X4 cores, and four large Cortex-A7 cores.

The Find X8 is expected to come with ColorOS 15 and leaker Digital Chat Station says it will bring significant improvements in user experience.
