Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says he does not want to think about no longer being a strategic partner of the United States
According to Mr. Zelensky, Ukraine will find it difficult to survive against Russian attacks without US military help. "It will probably be very, very, very difficult. Of course, in any difficult situation, you still have a chance. But we will have very little chance to survive without US support. I believe that is very important," President Zelensky said, emphasizing that he did not want to think about fighting Russia without US support and the prospect of no longer being Washington's strategic partner.
Regarding negotiations, Mr. Zelensky said that Russian President Vladimir Putin did not want to end the conflict but only wanted a ceasefire to lift some international sanctions against Russia and allow the army to regroup.
The interview took place in the context of the US administration expressing its desire to end the war soon and Europe must play a key role in supporting Ukraine.
US Vice President JD Vance met with President Zelensky in Munich on February 14. However, Reuters reported that the meeting ended without any announcement on a mineral deal between the two countries.
