In particular, from 2020 to 2024, as Deputy General Director of the Group's Human Resources Administration Department and general manager of human resources at Samsung Electronics, Mr. Na Ki Hong has made great contributions to enhancing Samsung Electronics' global competitiveness.
New CEO Na Ki Hong said: “Being appointed as CEO of Samsung Vietnam - an important strategic base of Samsung globally - is both an honor and a heavy responsibility for me. I will do my best to lead the development of Samsung Vietnam, maintain its position as the largest foreign invested enterprise in Vietnam, and continuously contribute to the development of the Vietnamese economy. Samsung built its first TV factory in Ho Chi Minh City in 1995. Then, in 2008, Samsung continued to build the Samsung Electronics Vietnam (SEV) mobile phone factory in Bac Ninh.
To date, Samsung's presence in Vietnam includes 6 factories, 1 Research & Development (R&D) center and 1 sales entity.
Samsung is currently the largest foreign direct investor in Vietnam, with total investment capital of up to 23.2 billion USD.
