During the period of fighting for national liberation and unification, with the spirit of giving everything to the front line, cutting through Truong Son to save the country, singing drowned out the sound of bombs, playing guitars and guns, the school's cadres and students brought songs, dances to each battlefield, down to the trenches, encouraging the soldiers to fight, many of whom sacrificed or left part of their bodies on the battlefields.
During the period of national construction and development, the school has performed well the tasks of good teaching - good learning, good scientific research, good service, good work; training and fostering a team of artists, cultural management staff, press, archives and high-quality human resources for the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.
