Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Dispatch 694/CD-TTg dated August 1, 2023 on preventing, detecting and strictly handling cases of illegal trading and transportation of pigs across the border into Vietnam.

The telegram requests the Chairman of the People's Committee of the province and centrally-run city, especially the southwestern border provinces, to strengthen inspection, supervision and control, especially at border gates, trails, openings in border areas, seaports, rivers, etc. to prevent, detect and strictly handle cases of illegal trading and transportation of pigs across the border into Vietnam. In case of detecting illegal imported pigs, they must be re-exported or destroyed immediately, and organizations and individuals who violate the law must be strictly handled...

Focus on overcoming landslides at Bao Loc Pass, proactively responding to heavy rains in the Central Highlands and the South

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 691/CD-TTg of the Prime Minister on focusing on overcoming the consequences of landslides at Bao Loc Pass, Lam Dong Province and proactively responding to heavy rains in the Central Highlands and Southern provinces.

The telegram requested the People's Committees of the provinces to proactively direct and implement the work of overcoming the consequences of the recent natural disasters and heavy rains, ensuring the stability of people's lives and activities, especially in the provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Binh Phuoc, Kien Giang. Prime Minister directs support for pepper exporting enterprises to UAE market

On July 31, 2023, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Dispatch No. 693/CD-TTg on supporting businesses exporting pepper to the UAE market.

The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to preside over and coordinate with the Ministries of Industry and Trade, Justice, Agriculture and Rural Development, and Transport; the State Bank of Vietnam directed the Vietnamese Embassy in the UAE to continue to urgently work with the UAE authorities, requesting that you coordinate in investigating and clarifying the case of 4 containers of agricultural products that were lost to take measures to ensure the legal and legitimate rights and interests of Vietnamese enterprises in accordance with international law and local law.

Transferring Hoa Lac High-Tech Park to Hanoi People's Committee for management

The Government issued Resolution No. 119/NQ-CP dated August 1, 2023, resolving to transfer the status quo of Hoa Lac High-Tech Park under the management of the Ministry of Science and Technology to the Hanoi People's Committee for management from August 1, 2023.

Draft Law on social insurance (amended). Proposal to develop a Law on prevention and combat of human trafficking (amended). Proposal to develop a Law on special consumption tax (amended). Proposal to develop a Law on value added tax (amended). Draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of mechanisms and policies to remove obstacles stipulated in a number of Laws related to investment in construction of road traffic works. Report proposing the application of a global minimum tax. Report proposing mechanisms and policies to support investors outside of tax.

Approval of the National Strategy on attracting and utilizing talents

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision 899/QD-TTg approving the National Strategy on attracting and employing talents to 2030, with a vision to 2050.

The overall goal of the Strategy is to build and effectively implement strong, breakthrough policies and solutions to attract and utilize talents (both domestic and foreign) by 2030, with a vision to 2050, especially in key sectors and fields such as: Science and technology; education and training; culture; social sciences; healthcare; information and communications, digital transformation...
