Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, People's Artist Lan Huong said that recently when attending events and meeting friends, some people asked her about her married life, some even asked directly "I heard you and Do Ky broke up", which made her very surprised and shocked.
Affirming to us, People's Artist Lan Huong said that she and her husband are still happy, still taking care of each other every day, unlike the rumors many people share.
"Both Do Ky and I were surprised why there was information about our separation and divorce? Maybe they hadn't seen us together at an event for a long time so they said that. My husband and I have been together for more than 30 years, we understand each other so well that we don't need to say much to know what the other person thinks and likes, so that rumor is not true," People's Artist Lan Huong confided.
Sharing about her husband's personality, People's Artist Lan Huong said that her husband is a man of few words. The two never said flowery words to each other but always had a peaceful life.
"Few people believe that, after more than 30 years of living together, we have never argued. There are no major conflicts in my family. When we start to see differences in opinion, one person will stay silent, and the other will understand that the conflict will be resolved at a more appropriate time.
My husband and I don't argue with each other. Many times, I let him do as he pleases. He will know what is right and wrong when he sees that it doesn't work. It's the same with me. When I "stumble", my husband says: "There, you see", then I know where I went wrong", the female artist recounted.
People's Artist Lan Huong added that she and her husband always respect each other. They both always like to maintain traditional values, like sustainability and to have this, they must always be honest with each other.
"We are not flashy or formal with each other. Another thing is that the more you give, the more you will receive. When doing anything around the house, think of the other person first, you will receive their attention," artist Lan Huong confided.
The Hanoi-born artist added that they first started out as friends, then fell in love and got married, so they had a long time to get to know each other. She also shared that marriage is difficult to maintain, so to make it last, both of them have to work hard to nurture it.
She said: "If anyone thinks that marriage is easy to maintain, they are being subjective. Many people look at the marriages of some couples in showbiz and idolize them. If an artist breaks up, they gossip and scrutinize them.
Actually, everyone wants to have a normal life, no one wants to break up. If divorce is the last resort, the old saying goes "If you don't stay in the blanket, you won't know if it has lice", when we don't understand clearly, we shouldn't discuss it carelessly.
