People's Artist Lan Huong said she has two daughters-in-law, My Le and Hai Anh. When she first moved in with her husband, the older daughter-in-law didn't even know how to cook. Hai Anh said that when she first came to her husband's house, she was also worried, afraid that she would not be able to get along with her husband's family. But after becoming a daughter-in-law, she realized that everyone here was just like her own family. "My process of being a daughter-in-law was more about going out and shopping with my parents than staying home to cook. I am not a daughter-in-law in the traditional way", she said.
