On the afternoon of September 29, People's Artist Kim Cuong brought artist Bich Lan (daughter of the late musician, Meritorious Artist Bac Son) to Thi Nghe Nursing Home in Ho Chi Minh City, presenting the money taken from the total amount of condolence money from friends, colleagues, audiences, and relatives after the funeral of her husband, artist Viet Phuong.

"In addition to the places where I donated money, which are orphanages, I also spent 26 million VND to give love to the veteran artists living at Thi Nghe Nursing Home. She is like a mother whom I respect, who guided me to pursue an acting career, and always encouraged me to do charity work to warm the lives of those in difficult circumstances, including veteran artists who have devoted their whole lives to their profession" - artist Bich Lan shared.

People's Artist Kim Cuong and artist Bich Lan were moved when hearing artist Huynh Thanh Tra say: "Since September 27, all senior artists living at Thi Nghe Nursing Home have had their health insurance transferred to Nguyen Trai Hospital. Every month, a doctor comes here for regular health check-ups. In cases where we have to go to the hospital for blood tests or medical intervention, the hospital sends a car to pick us up and take us back to the Nursing Home. We have received very good health care."

People's Artist Kim Cuong said that she wished to have the opportunity to bring artist Huynh Thanh Tra back to the stage. He said that it was his burning dream, however, because his legs were weak and it was difficult to walk, if he had to sit in one place to act, it would not be attractive, so "Loan Mat Nhung" (the audience still calls him that, "Loan Mat Nhung" is a famous film that he participated in in the 1970s - PV) had to refuse many invitations.

People's Artist Kim Cuong said that her greatest joy was contributing to promoting the move of artists to this Nursing Home, when the Ho Chi Minh City Artists Nursing Home in District 8 was seriously degraded.

"Moreover, coming here, they have enough standards to receive medical care, with the attention and monitoring of the team of doctors and staff of the center, so the veteran artists feel secure. The most pitiful thing is that artist Dang Xuan just fell yesterday because he went to the toilet at night without anyone to help him, and artist Ngoc Dang has forgotten a lot, but whenever we meet, he always talks about the memories of his singing days" - People's Artist Kim Cuong expressed.
