Efforts to win big against Laos

Ahead of the opening match against Laos in the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup, coach Kim Sang Sik emphasized the importance of the match and wanted his players to try to score as many goals as possible.

“This is the first match of the final qualifying round for the 2027 Asian Cup, so it is very important. We are playing at home and have prepared well. Hopefully, the Vietnamese team will score many goals and bring an exciting match to the audience,” said coach Kim Sang Sik at the opening press conference before the match with the Laos team.

Commenting on the away team, coach Kim Sang Sik highly appreciated the three newly naturalized players including Klein, Roman Angot and Victor Ngovinassack, emphasizing careful preparation for changes in the opposing team's lineup.

Referring to Group F, Coach Kim Sang Sik affirmed that the goal is to win a ticket to the 2027 Asian Cup Finals, so the matches against Laos and Malaysia are extremely important. "We have to score many goals in the first half" - Coach Kim Sang Sik emphasized.

Regarding Xuan Son's absence, coach Kim Sang Sik confided: "Maybe many people regret it, but Son is recovering well. In the match against Laos, I believe Tien Linh will do his job well."

Attending the press conference with coach Kim Sang Sik, striker Tien Linh expressed his determination: “The first match is not easy, but Vietnam is preparing the best. We will try our best to win for the fans.”

Tien Linh also shared his motivation when playing at Go Dau home ground: "Being supported by my family is both a motivation and a responsibility. I hope I will play well and contribute to helping the Vietnamese team win."

The match between Vietnam and Laos will take place at 7:30 p.m. tonight (March 25) at Go Dau Stadium, Binh Duong.
