Meeting to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union

DTO - On the afternoon of March 26, at the Provincial Youth Activity Center (My Phu Ward, Cao Lanh City), the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee held a meeting to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2025).

Attending the event were comrades: Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Phan Van Thang - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Secretary of the Party Committee of the provincial Party agencies; Tran Tri Quang - Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Acting Secretary of the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee; leaders of departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations of the province; former officials of the Provincial Youth Union of all periods; Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union and district, city and affiliated youth unions, and outstanding youth union members in the province.

At the meeting, Comrade Huynh Minh Thuc - Provincial Party Committee member, Provincial Youth Union Secretary delivered a welcome speech, reviewing the 94-year glorious tradition of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union. The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union was established on March 26, 1931, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. Over 94 years of formation and development, the Union has affirmed its role as a pioneering political and social organization of Vietnamese Youth, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. Today, the youth of the Red Lotus Land continue to promote the tradition of their ancestors, being proactive, creative, ready to commit themselves, pioneering in all aspects of social life, contributing their youth to the cause of building an increasingly prosperous homeland.

In the warm atmosphere of the meeting, delegates watched the reportage “Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union - 94 years of formation and development”. At the same time, they participated in exchanges and listened to the sharing of former Youth Union officials and outstanding Youth Union officials and members about their memories and experiences in Youth Union work; introduced and spread good practices and effective models to contribute to improving the quality of Youth Union activities and youth movements in the province in the coming time.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Comrade Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Youth Union at all levels and Youth Union officials, Party members and Youth Union members in the province in the past time. The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that in the period of national development, each Party member and Youth Union member of Dong Thap province needs to set a clear and specific development roadmap in their own journey of maturity; strive to practice according to the 9 standards of Dong Thap Human Standards. At the same time, have a proactive mindset in the integration journey, have behavioral skills, political mettle and enough knowledge and cultural foundation to confidently and proudly integrate into the world.

The Provincial Party Committee always highly appreciates the important role of the Youth Union, which is a decisive resource in the overall development of the province. In the current era of the country's development, the Youth Union chapters and officials need to promote the sense of responsibility, innovate the content and methods of operation, attract and gather young people; create favorable conditions and environments for the Youth Union and Youth Union to promote their potential, intelligence, contribute their youth and demonstrate their pioneering spirit, participate effectively, and make positive contributions to the implementation of the socio-economic development goals and tasks of the province. On this occasion, the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee awarded the Tran Thi Thu Award (Kim Hong Award) to 8 collectives and 23 outstanding individuals with many positive contributions to the Youth Union work and the provincial youth movement; presented gifts to former Youth Union officials; awarded the "For the Young Generation" Medal of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to 7 individuals with many contributions and dedication to the cause of education, training and nurturing the young generation.
