Peace of mind in solid homes
During the rainy season of previous years, Ms. Do Thi Van, in Residential Group 2, My Lam Ward (Tuyen Quang City) had to rush to carry her belongings to her neighbors. Because after each heavy rain, her dilapidated level 4 house was always wet. Partly because of her old age and weak health, partly because of illness and medicine, she did not have enough strength or money to repair the house, and faced many difficulties. In response to Ms. Van's situation, the City Fatherland Front Committee allocated 50 million VND from the Fund for the Poor to support her to build a new house.
Ms. Van shared: “Now, when there are storms, I feel less worried than before when I live alone. I thank the Party Committees, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, philanthropists, and neighbors for their concern and help in building a solid house, so I can feel secure during the storm season.”
Leaders of the City Fatherland Front Committee awarded funding to support the construction of a new house for Mr. Nguyen Cong Huu's family, residential group 1, My Lam ward.
