2024 is the year of many important political events of the country and Dien Bien province. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels of Dien Bien province and its member organizations have actively propagated and mobilized people of all walks of life, bringing about many practical results.
The highlight in the propaganda work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dien Bien province is advising the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to coordinate with the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to summarize the implementation of Project No. 09 dated April 25, 2023 of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on mobilizing support for building great solidarity houses for poor households in Dien Bien province, towards the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) (referred to as Project 09); organizing meetings to pay tribute to Dien Bien soldiers, youth volunteers, and frontline laborers who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign of 8 provinces and cities in Dien Bien Phu city; paying tribute to 703 families of martyrs and relatives of Dien Bien soldiers in the province. The gratitude activities together with Project 09 on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory have created a widespread influence, a program of profound political, social and humanistic significance, thereby contributing significantly to the propaganda work on the significance, stature and great historical value of Dien Bien Phu Victory, educating the revolutionary tradition for the current and future young generations.
In addition, the work of grasping the people's situation is regularly and closely carried out by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province; organizing online conferences to listen to the legitimate thoughts and aspirations of the people, promptly resolving difficulties and problems arising at the grassroots level. Over the past year, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in Dien Bien province issued 71 reports on the people's situation, organized 245 conferences to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of all classes of people, and organized the dissemination and implementation of the Law on Grassroots Democracy to all levels of the Front and the people. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province also strengthened coordination with relevant sectors to organize propaganda on the Law on Traffic Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene, and Prevention of Social Evils in Muong Nhe and Nam Po districts, attracting nearly 500 participants.
For example, in Muong Nhe district, in recent years, the Fatherland Front of Muong Nhe commune has promoted its role in gathering and building the great solidarity bloc of ethnic groups, actively propagating and mobilizing ethnic minorities in the area to participate in movements and campaigns launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels and localities, thanks to which the material and spiritual life of the people has gradually improved.
Currently, the commune has consolidated and completed the Front Work Committee in 100% of the villages and residential groups, playing an important role in propaganda, mobilization, grasping the people's situation, mobilizing people to promote the tradition of solidarity in each family, clan, and residential community in ethnic minority areas. Mr. Mao Van Un - Head of the Front Work Committee of Muong Nhe village said that members of the Front Work Committee always spend time propagating and mobilizing people to actively participate in campaigns and patriotic emulation movements launched by all levels, especially the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas". This is a necessary work to help people better understand the meaning, importance and responsibility of the people in building new rural areas, thereby mobilizing people to participate in implementing the construction of new rural areas in the most effective way.
