Products of organic origin and safety are the preferred choice of customers. |
In Hue City, there are currently 90 products that have been evaluated and recognized as OCOP star products. Of these, 1 product is recognized as a national 5-star OCOP product, which is "Bun bo Hue gia vi ton ton", 3 potential 5-star products, 18 products with 4 stars and 68 products with 3 stars. In addition, there are 4 rural tourism products recognized as 3-star OCOP products, including: Anor community tourism area in A Luoi, Ecotourism associated with indigenous resources in Nam Dong district (now Phu Loc), Suoi Tien ecotourism in Phu Loc district and Ngu My Thanh community tourism service in Quang Dien.
In recent times, many OCOP products in the area have been welcomed by consumers through distribution channels such as product introduction chains, traditional markets, supermarkets, etc. However, not all products have recorded the expected supply quantity to the market. For example, some supermarkets such as Aeon Mall Hue, Co.op mart Hue, etc. have reserved beautiful, convenient locations and eye-catching decorations to attract customers. However, if observed, it can be seen that these stalls often do not have many customers choosing to buy at the same time. Only a few products are chosen by consumers to put in their shopping carts among many other items, of course, most of them have Vietnamese origin, origin, and brand.
Therefore, to increase consumption as well as contribute to expanding the market, bringing OCOP products to more customers, not only locally but also nationally and for export, the most optimal solution is to put these products on e-commerce platforms, in addition to traditional distribution channels.
In the current trend of information technology explosion, bringing Vietnamese branded products, including OCOP products, to e-commerce platforms is the solution chosen by many enterprises, production facility owners, and traders. Reality also shows that, compared to traditional sales methods, this solution brings in many times more revenue and profit thanks to the skyrocketing number of successful orders.
Remember the guava harvest season last year, thanks to the coordination between the members of the Huong Xuan Ward Youth Union (Huong Tra) and Youtuber Huy Le to organize a livestream to sell products, after just over 1 hour, more than 1 ton of VietGAP guava (a product recognized as meeting 3-star OCOP standards) was sold to customers nationwide. Compared to the traditional way of selling, it can take a whole week, even a month to achieve this.
This method is also implemented by many farmers in the Northern provinces and the amount of agricultural products such as oranges, custard apples, plums, etc. sold has increased many times compared to before. This also helps promote the culture, people as well as the image of dynamic Vietnamese farmers in the context of deep integration today.
In Hue, there are not many enterprises, production and business establishments, especially small and medium-sized establishments, that livestream to sell products. If there are any interactions, the number of interactions is not much and the number of successful orders is also insignificant compared to many enterprises in other localities in the country.
The key to attracting viewers and buyers to livestream sales is to hire and contract with famous KOLs, KOCs, Youtubers, and TikTokers. Of course, this requires a large amount of money, but if you don't have enough resources, you can invite local Youtubers and TikTokers like the Huong Xuan guava livestream. From that foundation, when the number of interactions and followers on social networking sites has increased, business owners and businesses can livestream their own sales without the support of celebrities.
However, no matter what platform or product, the most important thing is still quality and meeting the needs and tastes of consumers to increase consumption and expand distribution channels. Because no matter how many stars a product is certified with, if consumers do not rate it, it will be difficult to be on their dining table, their way of wearing it, their daily habits and needs.
