Impressive TV program "Peace epic" celebrating 50 years of Southern Liberation and National Reunification

On the evening of April 6, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and People's Committee and the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee to organize the political and artistic exchange program "Peace Epic" at 3 locations: Hanoi Capital (Army Radio and Television Center Studio); Ho Chi Minh City (Reunification Hall - Independence Palace Historical Site) and Dak Lak Province (Buon Ma Thuot Victory Monument).

Attending the program at three locations were Politburo members: General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense ; Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. Also attending were Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and Party Central Committee members: Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Tran Si Thanh; Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Trung.

The program "Peace Epic" is built on a large scale, elaborate in content and art.

Also attending at the three locations were representatives of leaders of ministries, departments, branches, central and local agencies; leaders of the General Department of Politics, the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, along with veterans and many people from all walks of life.

The TV Bridge "Peace Epic" takes place from 20:00 to 22:00 and is broadcast live on Vietnam National Defense Television (QPVN), HTV1 Channel - Ho Chi Minh City Television Station, DRT Channel - Dak Lak Radio - Television Station, local TV channels and on digital platforms.

The activity aims to arouse national pride, gratitude, express gratitude for the great contributions of generations of fathers and brothers who fought and sacrificed for the country's peace and unity; encourage officers and soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army and people nationwide to promote tradition, continue to strive to achieve many achievements in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, contributing to bringing the country into a new era.

The program combines short, highly general reports, cleverly combined and interwoven with outstanding artistic performances.

The program "Epic of Peace" is built on a large scale, elaborate in content and art, wishing to recreate in an emotional and realistic way the 21-year journey of hardship, sacrifice but extremely heroic of the Vietnamese people - a journey like a tragic and glorious epic in which the General Offensive and Uprising of Spring 1975 is the most beautiful and brilliant chapter.

The program combines reports with concise, highly general content, skillfully combined and interwoven with unique, new and attractive art performances using diverse forms of expression such as: chamber music, contemporary dance, live performances, 3D mapping light shows, lasers, smoke, fireworks, graphic projections... to visualize and artisticize historical information, helping historical stories and memories become easy to understand and accessible to a wide range of audiences, especially the young.

The program emotionally and realistically recreates the 21-year journey of hardship, sacrifice, but great heroism of the Vietnamese people.

The program featured performances by many famous singers and artists inside and outside the army such as: People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, Meritorious Artists: Pham The Vi, Dang Duong, Y Joel Knul, Vu Thang Loi and singers Vo Ha Tram, Hoang Viet Danh, Do To Hoa, Dao To Loan, Hoang Hong Ngoc, Hong Duyen, Minh Ngoc, The Dung, Tuan Ngoc, Minh Chuyen, Mai Hien Xuan, Thao Trang, Dieu Nap, Roda Mick, Dak Lak Province Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe... along with artists and actors from major art units inside and outside the army.

Along with that, the program also brings stories, tragic memories, rich in emotions of historical witnesses in the 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising such as: Hero of the People's Armed Forces - Lieutenant General Doan Sinh Huong; War journalist Tran Mai Huong; Pilot of the Quyet Thang Squadron, Hero of the People's Armed Forces, Colonel Tu De and many veterans, historical witnesses who directly participated in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign.

It is also the victory of Vietnamese mettle and intelligence - a shining symbol of the strength of great national unity and the spirit of impartial and pure international solidarity, which is also the victory of the strength of Vietnamese people's war in the Ho Chi Minh era.
