25 years ago, the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day on April 7 was first launched, with the desire to call on the community to join hands to donate blood for life. To date, that journey has recorded nearly 22 million units of donated blood - a number that not only shows the results, but is also a vivid testament to the enduring and strongly spreading spirit of humanity of the Vietnamese people. “Every drop of blood given – A life remains, “Every drop of blood is a hope for revival.” Over the past quarter century, the voluntary blood donation movement in Vietnam has become a bridge to extend the lives of millions of patients. In Da Nang, in 2024 alone, the entire city organized a campaign to receive more than 42,000 units of blood, reaching 145% of the annual plan. Many propaganda activities with widespread effects and positive impacts on the movement have been organized, such as “Pink Spring Festival”, “Pink Summer Blood Drops”, “Red Journey”, etc. Many effective blood donation models in localities such as: “Blood Donation Family”, “Live Blood Bank”, “Rare Blood Group Club”, etc. have been built and operated with high results. For many people, blood donation has become a regular habit and an indispensable part of life.

Promoting the nation's fine tradition of charity, the voluntary blood donation movement has become a beautiful symbol of the spirit of compatriots and sharing. Wherever they are, millions of hearts with the same Vietnamese blood are always ready to connect and give life through warm and humane blood units.
