From 5:30 p.m. on March 15, the "Identity" Art Exhibition opened with nearly 40 multi-genre and creative material artworks created by a group of 14 talented students from Vinschool's Center for Talent Counseling and Development (GATE).
The creative art journey of Vinschool's talented students
“Identity” is the result of a journey of discovery with many profound thoughts of 14 talented students about the positioning of identity and human identity in modern society. Each work bears a strong personal mark, not only reflecting their own thoughts on social issues such as the environment, gender and feminism, race, memory and the role of the individual in life... but also arousing sympathy from the community in many different forms.
In particular, the works are composed from a variety of creative materials, uniquely combining traditional art genres such as paintings, sculptures, ceramics... with contemporary art forms such as installation, video, concept... to New Media Art materials - the language of technology and science (application of STEM knowledge) such as Biology (bio art), Robot (robotic art), or Programming (coding art)...
From a professional perspective, artist Tran Thi Le Thuy, member of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, commented: "From the works displayed in the exhibition "Identity", I see that Vinschool students not only complete high-quality works but also express profound perspectives on social issues, despite their young age."
Ideal training environment for personalized development
During the 2-year training period, talented students have had the opportunity to participate in intensive courses and interact with famous visual artists and curators in Vietnam. This is a solid foundation for young artists to find and express their personal artistic style in the context of contemporary art.
Ms. Trinh Khanh Huyen - Coordinator of GATE Center, shared: “At GATE Center, each talented student has a separate personal development plan, aiming to create an ideal environment for them to explore and develop their full potential. For the field of Fine Arts, we focus on creating opportunities for students to be exposed to and participate in systematic training in a variety of aspects of art, from techniques and materials to knowledge and artistic perspectives, in accordance with each student's creative orientation”.
In addition, talented students in the Arts field also have the opportunity to collaborate with talented students in the STEM field in creating multimedia artworks (New Media Art). This combination not only conveys artistic messages in a new and unique way, but also encourages students to always challenge themselves, break the limits of art, and of themselves.
"The GATE Center has given me the opportunity to experience many new technical materials and materials that I have never tried before, helping me expand my creativity and become more mature in my journey of pursuing art," said Luu Xuan Mai, a student whose work participated in the exhibition.
The “Identity” exhibition will take place from March 15 to 31, 2025 at the Center for Appraisal and Exhibition of Fine Arts and Photography, 29 Hang Bai, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. This is not only a turning point in the creative journey of talented Vinschool students, but also a testament to the commitment of the GATE Center in developing experimental art training programs. Thereby, the GATE Center continues to affirm its pioneering position in providing personalized training programs in the field of visual arts, suitable for the capacity and development of each student, keeping up with the development trends of the world art, and at the same time being a launching pad for young talents to reach high and far on their own development journey.
Vinschool Talent Development and Consulting Center (GATE Center) was established in 2018, is a training environment that nurtures talents in various fields such as: arts, STEM, social sciences... through a personalized learning program (Advanced Learning Plan). GATE Center operates on the mission of nurturing talents for the community, helping students maximize their personal strengths and create positive values for society. In 2024, GATE successfully organized STEM Fair, a creative science playground for students, and made its mark with many impressive achievements: many students won high prizes at international competitions in many fields and had research articles published in specialized journals. In the field of Fine Arts, GATE Center pioneers in building a progressive training environment, focusing on experimental art training, in tune with the development trends of world art for high school students. |
