Many valuable documents at the exhibition "Hoang Sa"

On October 23, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinated with the Department of Information and Communications of Ca Mau province to organize the opening of the thematic exhibition "Hoang Sa - Truong Sa of Vietnam".

The exhibition will be on display from now until October 27, 2024, at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Area (No. 221 Ngo Quyen Street, Ward 1, Ca Mau City, Ca Mau Province).

The scale of this exhibition is 61 images (including 40 images of the Hoang Sa - Truong Sa theme of the Ministry of Information and Communications and 21 images of the Truong Sa sovereignty rocks); using title backgrounds and banners to promote the exhibition contents; using televisions to show digital exhibition content, sea and island documentary films.

This special exhibition "Hoang Sa - Truong Sa of Vietnam" introduces to the public valuable maps and historical documents on the establishment and enforcement of Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos.

Ancient Western maps and ancient Chinese maps only show Hainan Island, without the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos, and some images and studies have been published so far by domestic and international researchers and scholars on this issue.

These are all historical evidences with legal value proving Vietnam's sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos in the East Sea.

Thereby, contributing to raising awareness, solidarity, strengthening trust and sense of responsibility of the people at home and overseas, especially the young generation, in participating in protecting and affirming the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Along with that, organize supplementary activities to consolidate knowledge of sea and island sovereignty. At the same time, practice soft skills, serve the learning needs of students, contribute to educating the tradition of patriotism and national pride.

After Ca Mau city, the exhibition "Hoang Sa - Truong Sa of Vietnam" will be held at secondary or high schools in 8 districts in the province.

At the same time, integrate extracurricular activities (games such as: "Who is faster"; "Who is wise"; "Crossword puzzle"; "Who remembers the most" in the form of ringing the golden bell) for students, university students, and youth union members to learn about legal issues and historical documents related to the two archipelagos of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa of Vietnam.

Along with that, propagandize and implement well the Party's guidelines; State policies and laws on seas and islands; specific mechanisms and policies to attract investment in developing the marine and island economy; socio-economic development planning of the province for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, plans related to seas and islands approved by competent authorities.
