The program "Filial piety is the first of all virtues" has just taken place at Co Be Ngai Vang Temple in Rong hamlet, Soc Son district, Hanoi with the ceremony to honor parents who follow the filial piety of the Holy Mother, in order to teach and educate people about Truth - Goodness - Beauty.
At the program, Professor of History Le Van Lan emphasized that filial piety is a precious, long-standing tradition of the Vietnamese people. For hundreds of years, even thousands of religious establishments or practices of the worship of the Mother Goddess of the Three and Four Palaces have performed worship mainly through singing, spirit mediumship, etc. However, Co Be Ngai Vang Temple is a rare place to organize a festival honoring filial piety with the theme of Hundred Good Deeds, Filial Piety, and will have many more activities to spread filial piety in people's lives.
It is not by chance that people say that Tet Nguyen Dan is the first day of Tet for fathers, the second day of Tet for mothers, the third day of Tet for teachers, and it is also not by chance that people say that the misfortune of parents is giving birth to unfilial children. Ms. Linh (29 years old, from Soc Son) in the program was very emotional when she had the opportunity to express her filial piety to her parents.
