On July 22, a working delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Command led by Major General Phan Van Xung, Political Commissar of the Ho Chi Minh City Command, visited and presented gifts to policy families in Cu Chi district (Ho Chi Minh City) on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023).

Accordingly, District 1 takes care of more than 500 households, including families of policy beneficiaries, war invalids and martyrs, people in difficult circumstances, union members, association members, and children orphaned by the Covid-19 pandemic. The total cost of care is over 900 million VND. At the same time, the district also organizes free eye exams for the elderly in difficult circumstances; legal advice; job referral support; zero-dong booths; giving means of livelihood to difficult households... and many other care activities in each ward.

The goal of the District 1 Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term is to build a safe, civilized, developed and compassionate District 1. Therefore, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of District 1, socio-political organizations and Party committees, grassroots Party organizations and businesses in the area join hands to care for difficult circumstances, aiming to build a compassionate District 1.

On this occasion, officials, civil servants, armed forces and workers of District 1 also supported the Fund "For the Poor", the Fund "For the Homeland's Sea and Islands - For the Frontline of the Fatherland" and the program "For Green Truong Sa" with an amount of more than 650 million VND.
