This year's Tet is considered the most prosperous Tet for Mr. Bui Van Quyen's family in Thanh Phong village, Minh Tien commune (Ngoc Lac). Mr. Quyen excitedly said: In previous years, my family was a household with many difficulties. The People's Credit Fund gave the family a "fishing rod" so that they could boldly invest in developing production, increasing income, and escaping poverty sustainably. I have been involved in policy credit since 2010 with many programs such as: lending to poor households, near-poor households, job creation, households that have just escaped poverty... The initial loan amount was 5 million VND, then increased to 10 million VND and now has increased to 100 million VND under the production and business program in difficult areas. Thanks to that, we have boldly invested in economic development, planting forests and raising 3 buffaloes and 30 pigs. The annual income is about 200 million VND. In 2024, despite many difficulties and challenges, Thanh Hoa Social Policy Bank has closely followed the direction of the Board of Directors of the Social Policy Bank, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Board of Directors' Representative Board to actively and proactively advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to effectively implement social policy credit, promptly assign credit plan targets; organize inspections and supervision at the grassroots level, promptly correct existing problems and errors in the implementation of preferential credit policies in the province. As of the end of December 2024, the total outstanding loans for policy credit programs in the province reached VND 14,847 billion, an increase of VND 1,053 billion compared to the beginning of the year.
To transfer preferential credit capital to the poor and policy beneficiaries, the direct lending program is entrusted through 4 socio-political organizations, including: Women's Union, Farmers' Association, Veterans' Association and Youth Union. Policy capital has a significant impact on changing awareness and habits in organizing production, transforming the structure of crops and livestock of the people; people know how to practice saving to invest in expanding production.
In particular, implementing Directive No. 40-CT/TW of the Central Party Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over social policy credit, under the leadership of the Party and the State, with the synchronous and timely participation of the entire political system, Thanh Hoa Social Policy Bank has actively deployed and achieved many important results in implementing social policy credit. Credit capital has "taken root" in all rural areas, "blossoming and bearing fruit" bringing "sweet fruits" to the poor and policy beneficiaries. During the year, from the source of social policy credit capital, it supported investment in production and business, creating jobs for nearly 12,000 workers, of which nearly 600 workers went to work abroad for a limited period and nearly 300 people who had completed their prison sentences had jobs; helped more than 3,000 students in difficult circumstances borrow money to study; Constructing, renovating and upgrading nearly 67,000 clean water and sanitation works in rural areas; supporting the purchase, construction, repair and renovation of more than 100 social housing units for low-income people... Thereby, contributing to stabilizing and developing the economy, ensuring social security, successfully implementing the task of investing in preferential credit for national target programs on sustainable poverty reduction, building new rural areas and developing the economy and society in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
