The mayor of L'Hay-les-Roses (France) wrote on Twitter: "My wife and one of my children were injured... Last night, the riots escalated to a terrifying level."
According to AFP news agency, L'Hay-les-Roses mayor Vincent Jeanbrun said on July 2 that rioters in France drove a car into his house, injuring his wife and one of his children.
On Twitter, Mr Jeanbrun said the men “crashed a car” into his house before “setting it on fire” while his family slept. The mayor of L’Hay-les-Roses wrote: “My wife and one of my children were injured… Last night the riots escalated to a terrifying level.”

The incident came on a fifth night of chaos across France, where rioters burned cars, attacked infrastructure and clashed with security forces after police shot dead a 17-year-old boy trying to flee a traffic stop.
On the same day, the French Interior Ministry confirmed that the number of arrests of extremists during the fifth night of riots had increased to 719. Due to the violent protests in the country, French President Emmanuel Macron postponed his state visit to Germany, scheduled for July 2.
Previously, Mr. Macron also decided to end his attendance at the European Union (EU) Summit in Brussels early and return home to chair a security meeting.
On June 30, France deployed 45,000 police officers and several armored vehicles to respond to violent protests. Elite police units and other security forces were deployed across France to control riots.
