Efforts to bring Vietnamese agricultural products to the French market

The SIAL Paris 2024 International Food Industry Fair, taking place from October 19-23, is an opportunity to promote the national image, the image of Vietnamese enterprises and brands; increase the export of Vietnamese food products with strengths and the ability to develop export markets in Europe. At the same time, promote the consumption network of Vietnamese food products in the world market... To take advantage of that, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has chaired and assigned the Trade Promotion Agency to organize a delegation of 32 Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the Fair.

The Vietnamese business delegation displayed and introduced products on an area of ​​over 300 m2 with many Vietnamese products and goods brought to France by nearly 100 businesses such as: Rice, pepper, cinnamon, star anise, cashew nuts, coffee, tea, dried fruits and vegetables, rice paper, pho noodles, noodles, fruit juice, beer and wine... This is the first time Vietnam has participated in the world's leading food and beverage fair with such a large group of businesses.

To enhance the promotion of Vietnamese enterprises’ products participating in the fair, the Trade Promotion Agency coordinated with the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in France to invite quality enterprises with high demand for the displayed products of Vietnamese enterprises to visit and trade at the fair. On the very first day of the fair, the booths of Vietnamese enterprises attracted a large number of international visitors to visit, learn and trade.

The products that businesses brought to SIAL Paris this year are all strong industries that Vietnam has exported a lot to the European market and other regions. Instead of only bringing raw products with low processing content to the fair like before, this time businesses have focused on everything from product quality to packaging and design, from packaging to brand promotion.

With rich content, eye-catching forms, creative and innovative approaches towards increasing added value, Vietnamese products are proving to be increasingly suitable to market trends and tastes of European and American customers.

Organizing Vietnamese enterprises to actively participate in prestigious and world-class fairs such as the Sial Paris International Food Industry Fair not only helps Vietnamese export enterprises expand their markets and seek new business opportunities through direct access to reputable buyers from all over the world, but also creates good opportunities for enterprises to promptly update market trends, learn and exchange practical experiences to improve and enhance product quality, and increase competitive advantages in the international market.

The Sial Paris International Food Industry Fair is considered not only a golden opportunity for exporters and food manufacturers to expand their markets and seek new business opportunities through direct access to reputable buyers from all over the world, but also a place for businesses and manufacturers to come to learn, exchange experiences and test their products. Thereby helping to improve and enhance product quality as well as increase competitive advantage in the international market.

Assessing the potential of the Fair, a representative of the Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said: " The Vietnamese delegation attending the Sial Paris 2024 International Food Industry Fair is one of the important events in the series of activities under the Program to build a brand strategy for the Vietnamese food industry. The main goal of the program is to build and promote a common, unified image for the Vietnamese food industry in the international market, increase awareness and international recognition of Vietnamese food, build prestige in food quality and value, optimize added value for food production and processing in Vietnam ".

The Sial Paris International Food Industry Fair was first held in 1964, within the framework of the International Food Week in Paris, with the participation of experts, manufacturers in the food industry and culinary enthusiasts from 26 countries. After more than 50 years of establishment and development, the Sial Paris International Food Industry Fair has become a highly anticipated event for businesses, individuals and organizations operating in the food, catering and hotel sectors.
