On January 30, comrade Truong Tan Sang, former member of the Politburo, former President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam visited and extended New Year greetings to the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh province.
Welcoming the former President were comrades: Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dinh Viet Dung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Tran Song Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Expressing his joy at welcoming the former President to visit on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, on behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Quang Ngoc reported to the former President the achievements that the Party Committee, government and people in the province have achieved in 2023. Notably: The province's GRDP growth rate reached 7.27%, ranking 23rd out of 63 provinces and cities and higher than the national average; the economic structure shifted towards increasing the proportion of the service industry, the service sector gradually became the province's strength when the tourism industry received investment attention to develop into a spearhead economic sector.
Total budget revenue in the area in 2023 reached 16,431 billion VND; 8/8 districts and cities met the standards and completed the task of building new rural areas. In addition, national defense and security were consolidated and maintained; social security work was ensured. Currently, Ninh Binh is focusing on implementing the goal of building Ninh Binh into a centrally-run city by 2035 with the characteristics of a millennium heritage urban area.
On the occasion of the traditional New Year of the nation, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee wished the former President good health in the new year. At the same time, he affirmed that the Party Committee, government and people of Ninh Binh province will continue to unite and make efforts to build Ninh Binh to become more and more developed.
Congratulating the comprehensive results in the fields of Party building, political system building, and socio-economic development of Ninh Binh province in recent times, former President Truong Tan Sang said: Ninh Binh is one of the provinces that develops relatively quickly compared to other provinces and cities in the country, which is the result of solidarity, innovation, and creativity in the leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Ninh Binh province, along with the attention and facilitation of the Party and State.
The province's orientations are consistent with the potential and strengths of Ninh Binh and the general development trend of the country and the world. The former President hopes that Ninh Binh province will continue to unite, inherit and promote historical and revolutionary traditions, and develop more and more; wishing the Party Committee and people of Ninh Binh province a new year of new victories.
