This rate in Vietnam reached 30.8%, ranking among the countries with the highest voice assistant usage rate in the world according to the "Digital 2025 Global Overview Report", only behind countries such as China, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, India, Brazil, the US, and Italy.
The use of voice assistants in general is on the rise globally. According to Next Move Strategy Consulting, the number of people using voice assistants is expected to reach record levels by 2025, with billions of devices integrating the technology. The popularity of devices such as smart speakers, mobile phones and connected cars has fueled this growth.
In the United States, the number of voice assistant users reached 142 million in 2022, accounting for 42.6% of the population, and this number is expected to continue to increase to 157.1 million users in 2026.
One area where voice assistants are making a big difference is e-commerce. Consumers increasingly prefer to use their voice to search for products, order products, and make transactions online, thanks to the convenience and speed that the technology brings. According to Next Move Strategy Consulting, the global voice commerce market will reach $33.74 billion by 2030, with an annual growth rate of 26.5%.
