This morning (November 9), the Green Vietnam Festival opened at the Youth Cultural House (No. 4 Pham Ngoc Thach, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City), opening two days of jubilant festivities in the green space in the center of Ho Chi Minh City with a series of activities throughout November 10.
Green Vietnam Festival is an annual event in the Green Vietnam project organized by Tuoi Tre newspaper in collaboration with the Vietnam Packaging Recycling Alliance (PRO Vietnam) and other organizations.
With the participation of more than 60 domestic enterprises and FDI "giants", the Green Vietnam Festival will be a "party" for readers and visitors to experience and learn about countless green products and recycled products, contributing to promoting the trend of green production, green consumption and green lifestyle in the community.
Experience green Vietnam space in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City
Speaking with Tuoi Tre on November 8, Mr. Pham Dang An - Director of VP Carbon, Deputy General Director of Vu Phong Energy Group - said that he has participated in the Green Vietnam program since its launch, directly experienced the "green building tour" and followed other activities of Green Vietnam in the past time.
When he learned about the Green Vietnam Festival, Mr. An and other sustainable development experts "dated" the festival to experience the unique products of each business presented at the festival.
"The special thing is that the festival has the participation of more than 60 businesses, proving the great attraction of the festival. It is held right in the city center, so I think this is an opportunity for the public to learn more about green lifestyle and practical steps in the green transformation journey.
The festival is a space for people to directly experience and see green products and learn about green living methods, save resources, and contribute to Vietnam's goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions," said Mr. An.
In recent days, the registration portal for participating in programs at the Green Vietnam Festival has received a large number of registrations to participate, experience activities within the framework of the festival as well as register to attend talk shows such as "Properly classified waste - Waste is a resource", "Sustainable development solutions in construction" or the talk show Tuoi Tre Start-up Award 2024 "Building a brand from the starting line"...
Meanwhile, businesses are also ready to bring their green experience space to the Green Vietnam Festival.
Mr. Kulachet Dharachandra - Country Director of SCG Group in Vietnam - said that the company is ready to open the space to display SCG products for Tuoi Tre readers as well as tourists to experience.
SCG's exhibition space also demonstrates the ESG (environment, society and transparent governance) orientation that the group is pursuing, accordingly SCG will introduce green products that are being applied in the market to help reduce CO₂ such as SCG Low Carbon Super cement (cement that reduces emissions), SCG color roof tiles or packaging products made from recycled plastic.
At the same time, SCG will also participate in talk shows at the festival to share knowledge, connect and inspire the business community and young people, promote comprehensive green transformation, apply the circular economy, build a green lifestyle towards sustainable development in Vietnam.
Countless green products and recycled gifts for readers
According to the organizers, the highlight of the festival is the diverse display space with more than 60 multi-industry businesses bringing together a festival space with hundreds of green products, recycled products, environmentally friendly materials and sustainable development stories...
Participating in the Green Vietnam Festival, Vinamilk will give visitors 20 tickets to visit Vinamilk Green Farm and nearly 500 "super green, super pretty" gifts during the two-day festival. Vinamilk representative said that this enterprise will bring many attractive activities such as "Pretty Reborn Shell", "Green Farm: Do the Unthinkable", with the goal of "Net Zero 2050"... to spread green lifestyle and sustainable development.
In addition, at Vinamilk's space, visitors will discover the story of "doing the impossible" to create Vinamilk Green Farm vacuum-packed fresh milk boxes or learn about Green Farm ecological farms - a typical example of sustainable agriculture.
Meanwhile, INSEE Vietnam said the company will bring a series of activities to convey the message of environmental protection to the community.
The highlight of INSEE's activities is the "Exchange trash for gifts" program, where people can bring plastic waste such as bottles, jars, and plastic bags to exchange for gifts that encourage a green lifestyle.
According to INSEE, this is not only an interesting initiative but also a close approach, helping the community better understand the importance of waste classification and treatment, while contributing to building a sustainable green lifestyle.
All plastic waste collected from operations will be transferred by INSEE to the factory for processing using co-processing technology in cement kilns - a safe and sustainable waste treatment solution.
In addition, INSEE also organizes minigames to act together for a green environment, helping participants learn more about how to properly classify waste and waste treatment processes.
At the VinFast Electric Vehicle Exhibition Space, visitors will be able to explore and test drive advanced electric vehicle models such as Drgn Fly; electric motorbikes TheonS, VentoS, FelizS.
In addition, VinFast also organizes interactive activities and interesting games so that customers can receive "green" gifts right at the event.
