Towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, from January 2024, the Music Department - Ho Chi Minh City Television Station will implement the project City of Love Songs - a program that looks back at the development journey of Ho Chi Minh City through cultural and artistic works.

After 30 programs on air, the picture of the city is completed in shimmering colors.

Singer Ta Minh Tam participated in Thanh pho tinh ca with 3 works: Songs from the city named after Him, Green urban area on Saigon river and People from far away.

As a result, he is the only singer to achieve the record of most favorite singer in the first and second quarters of 2024 and the first quarter of 2025.

In the Most Favorite Song category, the song Spring in Ho Chi Minh City by musician Xuan Hong won, with 47% of the votes.

The MV “The Country Full of Joy ” directed by Hoang Anh’s team won the award for Most Favorite MV with 79% of the votes. This MV was elaborately invested with 500 participants and was filmed in many locations around the city.

The song of unity did not win first prize.

In June 2024, Ho Chi Minh City Television in collaboration with the Vietnam Musicians Association organized a campaign to compose the theme song Unification Song .

With a wide range of themes, the contest attracted a large number of creative forces from all over the country, from young to old, creating a colorful picture of artistic creativity.

After a period of judging, the organizing committee decided that the contest had no first prize, but 2 second prizes, 5 third prizes, and 8 consolation prizes.

Musician Duc Trinh - President of the Vietnam Musicians Association - hopes that these songs will be supported and encouraged to continue to resonate in life.

During the award ceremony of the project City of Love Songs and the songwriting contest Unification Song, the audience enjoyed many songs written about the homeland, the country, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Some songs were composed a long time ago but still have a strong vitality such as: Spring in Ho Chi Minh City, The City I Love, Songs from the City Named You, Starry City Night, City of Love and Nostalgia through the voices of singers Ta Minh Tam, Van Khanh, Cam Van, Quoc Dai, Giang Hong Ngoc, Trieu Loc, Bao Kun, Tuyet Mai, Tran Ngoc Anh.
