Gold prices have been hitting new highs in recent times, making investors restless. Many people are taking the opportunity to realize profits at high prices. However, some are still considering buying gold to wait for prices to continue rising.

And in case there is a risk, I am not afraid of losing all my assets.
Although the biggest disadvantage of investing in gold is that the price can easily reverse quickly, few people have ever invested in gold for a long time and lost money because the price of gold only increases over time and is difficult to decrease. The outstanding advantage of gold is that it has high liquidity and can be easily converted into cash when necessary. In addition, if you choose the right time to trade, the profit potential is quite high.
Therefore, I decided to buy gold and store it. When I need it or when the price of gold increases sharply, I will sell it and profit from the difference," Mr. Quan shared.
Commenting on Mr. Quan's point of view, many experts agree with him diversifying his assets to limit risks. However, experts still recommend buying a lot of gold at this time.
" Gold does not have any chance to increase this year. I see that from now until the end of 2025, the gold investment strategy is still effective, the world gold price still has room to increase. But investing in gold must choose the time, consider the time to buy and sell to have the highest rate of return. For example, currently the world and domestic prices are at the highest level ever. At this time, spending money to buy gold in the future will still be profitable, but the rate of return will not be high and the waiting time for a good profit is quite long, " expert Tran Duy Phuong advised.
Expert Nguyen Tri Hieu also emphasized that if investors buy gold at this time, they should have financial discipline. That is, they need to base it on gold forecasts and profit targets. If you buy gold for long-term investment, to accumulate assets, to save money, then you should buy now because the world gold price and the Vietnamese gold price are increasing. If you buy gold to "surf", buy and sell again to make a profit, it is very dangerous.
Meanwhile, analyzing the advantages of investing in real estate at this time, Mr. Le Huu Tuan Anh, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Tung Bach Real Estate Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company (Tung Bach Land) said: "Currently, due to high demand, the land segment, especially land with red books or in cities with large industrial parks, is increasing rapidly in price. Therefore, in 2025, land is still a good investment segment.
In particular, recent information about the merger of some provinces and cities has caused land prices in many localities to increase sharply. This trend may continue for a while. If investors quickly anticipate, they can be successful.
However, facing the unpredictable invitations and tricks of land brokers and speculators, experts advise investors to be cautious and carefully study the land price level in the area they plan to invest in to avoid the risk of being inflated by speculators, creating short-term but unsustainable land fevers. If not well controlled, buyers can easily fall into the trap of high prices, not to mention the pressure on infrastructure or legal risks.
According to economist Ngo Chi Long, the world gold price from the beginning of 2024 to the first quarter of 2025 has increased sharply, surpassing the 3,050 USD/ounce mark due to geopolitical instability and expectations of the FED cutting interest rates. Meanwhile, after the freezing period of 2022 - 2023, land prices are gradually warming up, especially in areas with infrastructure planning (around Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Long An, etc.). The State is promoting public investment disbursement and simplifying real estate legal procedures, creating medium- and long-term expectations.
Mr. Long chose the option that if he had 10 billion VND, investors should allocate 5 billion to buy SJC gold, and sell it in 6-12 months when the price peaks; the remaining 5 billion VND to buy land with clear legal status, to anticipate planning or areas about to develop highways or industrial parks.
" Thus, investors have both a short-term profit channel (gold) and a long-term investment with strong growth potential (land) ," he analyzed.
It can be said that choosing between gold and real estate (land) always requires careful analysis based on market developments, personal financial goals and risk tolerance. Therefore, any investor needs to make a comprehensive assessment before deciding to invest.
