It has been 34 years since the first milestone of the Lunar New Year 1981, the Ho Chi Minh City Spring Flower Festival was first successfully organized, opening up a unique cultural event that the city's people look forward to every spring.

This is considered an event with a strong creative mark, the quintessence of the Vietnamese ornamental plant industry.

Through the spring flower festival, the labor value of flower and ornamental plant growers is honored.

In a shady green park in the heart of the city like Tao Dan, when spring comes, people are extremely excited to meet each other at the spring flower festival.

The feeling of leisurely walking through the "lungs of the city", enjoying the newest, most beautiful and unique flowers and ornamental plants during Tet is an unforgettable image for those living in the city and visitors from afar.

Besides the Spring Flower Festival at Tao Dan Park, Nguyen Hue Flower Street is considered an indispensable destination for people every new spring.

Nguyen Hue Flower Street was planned and rearranged by the city from Nguyen Hue Spring Flower Market, organized and decorated every Lunar New Year with a length of more than 700 meters from the front of the People's Council - People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the statue of President Ho Chi Minh to Bach Dang wharf.

For the past 22 years, Nguyen Hue Flower Street has always made city residents and tourists eagerly wait to enjoy and celebrate spring.

Ms. Thuy Le, who lives in District 11, said that every Tet, no matter how busy her family is, they still insist on going to Nguyen Hue Flower Street together.

She confided that the beauty of the flower street changes every year, expressing the unique identity of Ho Chi Minh City, providing many spaces for entertainment, relaxation, and souvenir photography for the public.

The beauty of the flower street each year affirms the city's leadership in researching and creating mascot models and elaborately designed landscapes with beautiful flowers, so it has been able to expand and improve the quality of the flower street each year.

The annual Tet Book Street Festival as well as the establishment of Ho Chi Minh City Book Street (Nguyen Van Binh Street, District 1) are considered living proof.

Ho Chi Minh City Book Street is the first complex book street in Vietnam. This is a place where many bookstores from all over the country gather with an open space, where customers are free to visit and read books.

The Tet Book Street Festival has become one of the typical cultural activities, contributing to raising awareness of the value of books, while creating an attractive space for enjoying knowledge and art.
