On the afternoon of April 20, the Department of Education and Training of Hoa Vang District (Da Nang City) officially reported on the case of a 6th grade female student being beaten by a group of students in the area. According to the Department of Education and Training of Hoa Vang District, at 11:15 a.m. on April 19, Tran Quang Khai Secondary School received a report from the family of Nguyen Thi Nhu T. (class 6/4) about the brutal beating of this student by other female students.
Nhu T. was dragged across the concrete floor by a female student who grabbed his hair and continuously kicked him.
Immediately after receiving the application, the school invited the students involved to work and find out information leading to the quarrel and fight.
The initial cause was determined to be due to personal conflict.
According to the report of HP (class 7/6, Tran Quang Khai Secondary School, one of the students who used a phone to film the fight), the main reason for the fight was because Nguyen Thi Nhu T. (the beaten female student) spoke ill of 3 friends in class 8/2, including BC, MN and MH.
The Department of Education and Training of Hoa Vang District identified the group of students involved in the assault as: P.Th. (grade 7), PT (grade 7, expelled), MH (grade 8, same school). In addition, many other students witnessed and used their phones to record the clip.
The school invited the students involved to work and find out information leading to the quarrel and fight.
Among the students involved, MH and PT have been asked by their families to take time off from school since March 25, 2024 and are currently frequently seen outside the school.
The Department of Education and Training of Hoa Vang District said that Nguyen Thi Nhu T. (the beaten female student) has now returned to school and is in stable health and mental condition.
“After receiving information about the incident, the Department of Education and Training and the school visited the beaten female student’s house to encourage her and stabilize her mental state so she can study. The Department of Education and Training and the school will continue to coordinate with local authorities and the Commune Police to handle and resolve the incident in accordance with regulations,” the announcement stated.
Previously, as Thanh Nien reported, Ms. Tran Thi No (45 years old, from Tan Dai hamlet, Tan Tap commune, Can Giuoc district, Long An, temporarily residing in Quan Nam 4 village, Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city) submitted a petition to the People's Committee of Hoa Son commune, Hoa Son commune police, and the Board of Directors of Tran Quang Khai Secondary School requesting an investigation and handling of the case of her daughter being beaten by a group of people, causing serious injuries.
In the clip, which is over 1 minute long, provided by Ms. No, Nhu T. was dragged across the concrete floor by a female student who grabbed her hair and kicked her repeatedly. Being beaten repeatedly, the female student could only endure the beating, not daring to resist. Another female student came and tried to take off Nhu T.'s shirt but failed. After that, the group left the scene, leaving the victim sitting in the middle of the road. After the incident, Nhu T. returned home but was afraid and did not dare to tell her family because she was threatened.
On the morning of April 18, seeing her child coughing up blood, having a stomachache, nausea, delirium, and a swollen head, Ms. No took Nhu T. to the hospital. On the afternoon of April 19, Nhu T. was discharged from Da Nang Hospital to continue monitoring at home with a diagnosis of "concussion".
